Classical Ruins of Coastal Libya
6 Days
Commencing in Tripoli, the tour will
visit the ancient Roman cities of Leptis Magna and Sabratha (2
days), return to Tripoli and then fly to Benghazi, the next
day leaving to explore the Greek cities of Tocra, Tolmeita,
Cyrene, Apollonia, Susa and the Jebel Akhdar (Green
Mountains).

Following the same route, the tour will instead drive along
the Mediterranean coast between Tripoli and Benghazi, viewing
the spectacular seaside scenery, the dramatic mountain
landscape and local flora and fauna.

3 Days
For those on a short visit to Libya, this tour will visit
Tripoli and the Roman cities of Sabratha and Leptis Magna.
5 Days
From the coastal
cities of Tripoli, Sabratha and Leptis Magna, the tour travels
to the edge of the Sahara, to the Berber city of Ghadames, and
then returns to Tripoli for a day of shopping in the souqs of
the old medina.

Dune: Libya's Western Deserts
14 Days
The tour first visits Sabratha,
travelling south-west towards Ghadames on the second day,
passing through the towns of Gharyan, Yfren, Zintan, Jadu and
Kabaw and visiting Qasr Haj and the old city of Nalut. From
Ghadames the tour heads for the desert, driving through
Qaryat, Brak, Idri and ends the day in the town of Ubari, from
where travellers can explore the Ubari Sand Sea and the Ubari
Lakes. Further exploring the Sahara, the tour takes in Germa
and Al Awaynat, before visiting Ghat and the Jebel Acacus.
Heading north, the tour visits Murzuq and Sebha, where you can
fly or drive back to Tripoli.

4 Day Tobruk Tour
Commencing at
the Egyptian border, we travel westward to Tobruk, scene of
some of WWII's most significant battles. Heading south-east,
we visit the remote desert oasis of Al Jagbub, where we see
classic sand dune landscapes and the therapeutic Melfa Lake.
4 Day Pentapolis Tour
Benghazi is the perfect
base from which to explore the famous Greek Pentapolis,
renowned as "the best ruins outside Europe". The sites
of
Tocra, Tolmeita, Cyrene, Apollonia, and Susa each possess
historical and atmospheric charm, and can be enjoyed on this
4-day trip.
The Green Mountains area, where these sites
are located, offers a wealth of natural sightseeing
opportunities, including waterfalls, remarkable caves, ocean
vistas and Spring wildflowers.
6 Day Pentapolis to Tobruk Tour
The 6-day
extended trip takes in not only Benghazi and the Greek
Pentapolis, but also additional sightseeing in the Green
Mountains and a visit to Tobruk.
An 8-day extended trip also covers the oasis town of Al Jagbub
with its desert landscapes.

Dates in the Desert: Libya's Eastern Sahara
8 days
Your journey into the eastern desert
begins in the atmospheric ancient village of Awjila, where you
can explore a traditional village and, at 1,000 years old, the
oldest mosque in Africa. Heading south, you pass first through
the oasis town of Jalu and head on to the desolate and magical
Waw al-Namus, an extinct Saharan volcano with crater lakes.

Setting out from Ajdabiya, where desert
traders of old stopped to refresh themselves on their journey,
we travel onward to Jalu, then to Tazerbo and Ramlat Rabianeh
(famous for the beauty of its sand dunes). Finally, we visit
Waw al-Namus before continuing to Sebha, where we can fly back
to Tripoli.
10 days
A 10-day extended tour takes in Ajdabiya, Awjila, Jalu,
Tazerbo, Ramlat Rabianeh, and Waw al-Namus.

Beginning in Tunisia, we spend 7 days visiting the country's
major cities and natural wonders. Crossing into Libya, we take
7 days to explore the historical sites and beautiful coast of
Tripolitania and Cyrenaica. The final 7 days of the journey
takes us to Egypt, again stepping back in history, as we
wander the ancient cities of Alexandria and Cairo.
